Here is how the booking
&
filming process works

Step 1 -
Schedule Chat

Send me an inquiry either through your email or this form. I will follow-up within 24 hours to get to know you a bit more and discuss some creative ideas. We will then confirm a date for filming. A 50% down payment will be requested at this time.

Step 2 - Questionnaire & Prep Guide

I'd like to get to know you. To ensure this video is everything you love - there is a 1:1 consultation included in each package where we go over a few questions on your preferences and concerns, which will help me to capture the most perfectly, personalized video as possible. I prefer to have this meeting at the filming location so I can plan for appropriate lighting and audio, but it is not absolutely necessary.  I also have a questionnaire for you to fill out. A few days prior to filming, you will receive a preparation guide that provides an overview of everything you need to know for filming day!

Step 3 -
Filming Day

Step 4 -
Delivery

Let's roll. I will call to confirm our scheduled film day a few days prior and to answer any questions you may have.

I will arrive about 30 minutes prior to our filming start time. This allows time to set up the cameras, lighting and microphones, ensuring a quiet, beautifully lit scene!

Filming usually takes 2-3 hours total, this leaves time for an interview, b-roll filming and any stories to go over family heirlooms or photos. Some films may be more complex and involved, so plan for most of the day if needed.

Enjoy your video! Please allow approximately 2-4 weeks for professional editing of your video. A draft will be available via a private Vimeo link for a week for you to review. You will have the ability to download the final video once the final 50% payment has been received.

If you don’t recount your family history, it will be lost. Honor your stories and tell them too.
The tales may not seem very important, but they are what binds families and makes each of us who we are.”
— Madeleine L'Engle, A Stitch in Time
