Where Do You Film?

I am located in Pittsburgh, I will travel within a 2 hour range of the region without additional fees. Outside of 2 hours may require additional travel expenses.

I will film in the comfort of your home or a nursing home. If there is a special place you would like to be filmed, I can look into the location to ensure it is conducive to a quality filming environment. I will film in more than one location, but will charge for the additional travel and time.

What Is Your Pricing?

Pricing starts at $500 for the most basic package. Each project is highly customized, so pricing is as well. I can work on a package that works within your budget - don’t record your legacy just because of the price - we’ll come up with a creative idea!

I also offer payment plans. I require a 50% down payment at time of booking and the remaining balance is due before final video is delivered. I can offer 25% at booking, 25% on filming day and the remaining before final video is delivered.

Can I Include Photos and Video Clips Into The Final Film?

Yes! I encourage them. They help to tell the stories. 20 photos are included in the package. Additional photos will require a small fee, depending on quantities. You can also include video clips, but they must be digitized prior to sending to me.

How do you send me the files? I use Dropbox, OneDrive or Google Drive to share files. To share the final video, I will send you a Vimeo link. You can watch and download an MP4 file onto your computer or on a thumb drive to share with family. DVDs are no longer offered.

What Questions Do You Ask?

I ask questions about family of origin, childhood memories, and major life events. We also ask to share life lessons learned or advice for future generations. I have a database of questions that I pull from once we have our consultation. You are also welcome to send me questions to use. Do you want the questions ahead of time? I do not recommend it, but if it helps with anxiety, I can share them ahead of time.

When Do We Receive the Final Film?

Please allow 3-4 weeks after filming to receive your final film. I understand your are excited to watch - but professional editing takes time. We make sure every detail is optimized for your viewing pleasure!
